I love being on the show. I love getting up ridiculously early and walking to the studio. I love saying “Thanks JC!” after he lets me in the building. Then I follow him into the studio where Shanon is setting everything up and writing out the schedule. I love putting my head on her shoulder and saying “Good Morning!” I don’t hang around to long because we all have work to do but I make sure I say Hello. Then as I am walking out of the studio I say “Hey AL good morning.” I turn down the hallway and head straight for the coffee. I pass Dianthe and Don on my way and that’s when they get there “Hey what’s up?” or “Hey mama, what’s up Don?” I make my drink and head straight for the computer. I re-hash the events from the day before or the plans I have that day. I love the morning routine I have fallen into.

Battle of the Sexes has been really awesome. I have been so happy lately because of it. Not because I am super competitive and want to beat the guys, but because of the team I am on. I have not had this much fun with a contest in so long. I have always talked to Shanon and Kellie but not like this. Not the way we have been. It is so great. I get excited when we work on our game plan off the air. This has brought us closer. We can’t stop laughing and not just that but enjoying each others company as friends. I hope we win but if at the end of this we don’t win I will be okay with it. The punishment isn’t bad at all when I think about how much closer we are all getting.

I had the best lunch date with my little brother Tyler yesterday!! He picked me up at my apt. which for me was so cool because he just recently turned 16. Then we headed to Primos. On our way he got frustrated with his phone and threw it across the truck. He isn’t an angry person it was much more playful than it sounds. Right at that moment he swirved up on the curb and hit the sign that has the speed on it. It knocked of his side mirror but that was the extent of the damage. We laughed so hard we had to pull over. I love having silly memories with my brother. I am the oldest of 3. My brother Tanner is 20 and he just bought a house! What? Seriously your 20! He lives in Lubbock and goes to school. I love him to death I couldn’t ask for brothers like these but sometimes I feel like he got the responsible gene.

Today is judgment day. The wedding songs are finished and were judged last night. I am actually nervous. We tried pretty hard and now I am anticipating the results. Cross your fingers!!

wait, so he hit a sign but then you were laughing so hard you almost had to pull over? i thought that when you got in an accident you had to stop right there and report it... maybe i don't know the whole story... anyway. i'm the oldest of three also, isn't it awesome having younger siblings... i like mentoring them and bonding. keep it up you sound like a great honest person so i can pretty much bet that you're an outstanding sister. take it easy cutie!

Dear young 'un:

Your spelling is atrocious!
"Swirved"? Come on! That's a fourth-grade word at most. Smarten up. You're a media professional now. Spelling does count.
